About AFRI — the food culture of 50 years ahead

FIELD

Awaji and Sumoto

Awaji appears in Japan’s oldest chronicles as one of three Miketsukuni. We reinterpret that history as a role.

A former brewery in central Sumoto, where researchers and travellers pass each other in the same space.

  • Knowledge guild

A membership community continuing slow work, like brewing with resident microbes.

  • CSA

Community supported agriculture, shortening the distance from grower to table.
